The International Symposium on Advanced Magnetic Materials and Applications (ISAMMA)

The ISAMMA was established in 2007. Before that time, we had three international symposia regarding magnetism and magnetic materials in Asian region: the International Symposium on Physics of Magnetic Materials (ISPMM) initiated in Japan, the International Symposium on Magnetic Materials and Applications (SOMMA) initiated in Korea and the International Symposium of Advanced Magnetic Technologies (ISAMT) initiated in Taiwan. Though their activity earned good reputation around the world, their purposes and scopes were similar to each other. The representatives of these symposia discussed and decided to consolidate the three symposia into the ISAMMA. The 1st ISAMMA was successfully held in Jeju, Korea in 2007, followed by 2nd in Sendai, Japan (2010), 3rd in Taichung, Taiwan (2013), and 4th in Phu Quoc, Vietnam (2017).

The purpose of ISAMMA is to promote discussions and advances on the field of magnetic materials and its application. The ISAMMA has successfully established a network of researchers and engineers not only in the Asian region but also in the communities around the world.
