Spin-caloritronics – Cooperative phenomenon between magnetism and heat – A new research field of “Spin-caloritronics”, which utilizes an interaction between spins and heat, has emerged in recent years and attracted attentions both from fundamental science and applications perspectives. The scientific insight obtained in this field is expected to provide novel functionalities to the existing spintronic device technologies.
