Magnetic Properties and Nanostructure Control for High Performance in Hard and Soft Magnetic Materials Hard magnetic materials have been used in many applications in automobile, home electronics, IT and medical industries. Recently, their application extends to motors for HEVs and EPS in automobile industries and compressors for home electronics. Dust cores, which is one kind of soft magnetic materials, offer unique design possibilities for motor cores, and have attracted a great deal of attention from automobile industries.
