The 215th Topical Symposium of the Magnetic Society of Japan/The 61st Technical Meeting on New Magnetic Compounds

Front Line of Mixed-Anion Magnetic Materials

Mixed anion compounds, which contain several different anions (negatively charged ions), have more complicated coordination and electronic structures than single anion materials such as oxides and nitrides. From the characteristics, mixed anion compounds exhibit unique physical properties. More recently, as the development of the synthesis methods using high pressure or topochemical reaction, mixed anion compounds with the combination of various anions have been synthesized. New mixed anion materials with the novel magnetic properties have been also created. In this symposium, we invite five outstanding lecturers who are engaged in the studies of mixed-anion magnetic materials. We expect your active participation.
