The 248th Topical Symposium of the Magnetics Society of Japan/The 72nd Technical Meeting on High Magnetic Field Applications

Magnetohydrodynamics of Electrolyte Solutions and its Applications

Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) is a discipline that studies the motion of conducting fluids in magnetic fields. MHD has developed since the mid-20th century, and its main subjects are plasmas and liquid metals. MHD effects can be observed in aqueous electrolyte solutions under a high magnetic field generated by superconducting magnets. In this symposium, six lecturers will introduce recent developments in applied research on MHD effects on aqueous electrolyte solutions (separation, stirring, chiral expression, power generation, etc.). We look forward to your participation.
