The 227th Topical Symposium of the Magnetic Society of Japan/
The 67th Technical Meeting on New Magnetic Compounds

Magnetic dynamics studied by combining X-ray and laser

In recent condensed-matter physics, great amount of attention is paid not only to the static electronic states and magnetic structures of materials, but also to their dynamical properties in non-equilibrium and transient states. This background is the rapid development of experimental methods such as the advent of ultra-short pulse lasers and X-ray free electron lasers, which allows one to observe femtosecond regions. Now there is a strong desire for collaboration among various fields, including spin dynamics study of magnetic materials. In this workshop, 6 lecturers will introduce the forefront of research from the viewpoint of X-ray, laser, theory, etc. This is an invaluable opportunity for discussions on future condensed-matter research in non-equilibrium and transient states. We are looking forward to the participation of a lot of people.
