| 「Frontiers and perspectives of sentinel lymph node mapping for cancer therapy」 |

| 要旨：Summary: Cancer metastases usually form first in the nearest lymph node to the
primary tumour, before spreading unpredictably to establish secondary sites in the body. This 'sentinel' lymph node is therefore a very important indicator of whether or not cancer has spread in a patient. In this talk we will discuss current methods for identifying and examining this node, and the implications this has for cancer therapies and improved survival rates.

| 「臨床医からのセンチネルリンパ節診断と抗がんハイパーサーミアへの期待」 |

| 要旨：センチネルリンパ節転移の有無を明らかにして、手術法を決定することは、がん治療
成績を低下させずQuality of lifeの向上や早期社会復帰を実現するには必要不可欠である。
しかし現在のセンチネルリンパ節同定法には、法規制、被爆の問題、診断の不確実性など多
くの問題点を抱えており、ブレイクスルーが求められている。また、センチネルリンパ節は
最も転移が生じやすいリンパ節であることから、診断のみでなく確実な治療法が開発されれば、
より低侵襲で副作用の少ない方法へと発展が期待される。
