Topical Symposium
The 167th Topical Symposium of the Magnetic Society of Japan

New Developments of High Performance Magnetic Sensor Applications
The sensor, which can detect information or energy, is one of the key devices to support safe, secure and convenient life in highly information-oriented society. Magnetic sensors, which detect electromagnetic fields, have been used in many applications because of noncontact technology. For example, classifying the sensors in terms of sensing object, the sensors to detect magnetic field, are popular devices. Recently, achievements of high performance magnetic sensors lead to the new technology developments such as navigation technologies by electric compass, environment monitoring technologies, nondestructive detection technologies, and medical diagnosis technologies.

The 167th Topical Symposium of the Magnetics Society of Japan aims providing a chance to discuss new developments of applications using high performance magnetic sensors. We sincerely appreciate participation of researchers and engineers who are interested in this topical symposium.
